How highlights work
Stats only highlight when a player passes both a season baseline and a recent performance check — talent plus current form. Players with at least one highlighted stat are marked with a red left border for easy scanning. Pitchers K & K/G: Season K/G ≥ 5.0 and averaging ≥ 5 K over their last 3 starts. Batters H/G: Season H/G ≥ 0.8 and averaging ≥ 1.0 H/G over their last 5 games. Batters TB/G: Season TB/G ≥ 1.3 and averaging ≥ 1.5 TB/G over their last 5 games. Batters SB: Season steal rate ≥ 0.20/G and at least 1 stolen base in their last 5 games. Pitcher Ownage: Batter has .300+ career avg with 4+ AB and 2+ hits OR 2+ career HR against today's opposing pitcher.

Overview
MLB Field Stats is a free, client-side dashboard that displays publicly available baseball statistics. This policy explains what limited data is collected and how it is used.
What We Collect
When you save a player list using the "Field Notes" feature, the following is stored:
Device identifier — A non-reversible hash generated from your browser's canvas rendering characteristics and basic browser properties (screen size, language, timezone offset). This is used solely to associate your saved lists with your device so they persist across page refreshes.
Saved list data — The player names, teams, and statistics you choose to save in your lists, along with the list name and timestamp.
What We Do Not Collect
No names, email addresses, or account information
No cookies or browser tracking
No location data
No analytics or third-party tracking scripts
No advertising data
How Data Is Stored
Saved list data and the associated device identifier are stored in a Google Sheets spreadsheet accessed through a Google Apps Script web application. Data is transmitted over HTTPS.
Data Retention
Saved lists automatically expire and are removed after 24 hours. You can also manually delete any saved list at any time by clicking the delete button on the list tile.
Third-Party APIs
This dashboard fetches publicly available baseball statistics from the MLB Stats API (statsapi.mlb.com). These requests are made directly from your browser. We do not proxy, log, or store any data from these requests.
